Concrete Temperature And Maturity Data Loggers by MRC. it confirms tracking the maturity and internal temperature of fresh in-place concrete.
What Is Concrete Maturity?
Concrete maturity indicates how far curing has progressed. Maturity is the relationship between concrete temperature, time, and strength gain
Concrete Temperature And Maturity Sensors
MRC provide a wide range of concrete temperature and maturity sensors.
Principle of operation of Concrete Temperature And Maturity Data Loggers
-Concrete casting produces heat-exotherm, the connection between the various components cement and water, produce heat. This is why concrete castings need to be cooled by spraying water on them. The formation of heat above a certain temperature can cause damage to some of the components
And weaken the casting.
The time required for a casting to strengthen (Concrete Maturity) and reach its maximum strength depends on the size of the casting, each day that passes the strength of the concrete increases and it takes about a month to reach its maximum strength. There is a relationship between the strength of the concrete and the temperature inside the casting. Monitoring the temperature in the casting allows to shorten the waiting time until it is strengthened to continue construction,
And continue to build on it before reaching its maximum strength.Time saving, saves costs and shortens construction time.
- There are several methods for checking the temperature in concrete castings:
-Old method - Put thermocouple wires inside the casting and connect them to a multi-channel temperature register where the data is stored. The Disadvantage, long wires need to be prepared in advance. And the data logger must be left in the field.
The new method-assimilation of data loggers inside the foundry, with wires coming out of them. They collect the data from the data loggers with a suitable measuring instrument.
